In general, not a lot of us have any knowledge as to how the use of vapes/e-cigarettes help in reducing the long term health-related harms of tobacco smoking.
Vapes not only assist people to overcome the cravings of cigarettes, but they also help people to abstain from smoking in the longer run. However, many fear that vaping may lead to smoking type behavior becoming a norm; like in the old days…
There have been studies and researches that prove Vaping or the use of e-cigarettes are the least harmful and most fruitful method to help smokers quit, compared to other methods like nicotine patches or gum.
Simply put, when you smoke a cigarette, you are not only inhaling the smoke from tobacco but also various other fumes and toxic gases which are generated as a result of combustion.
In vaping, since there is literally no combustion, there are no fumes. Vapes also eliminate other materials that are responsible for those toxic chemicals, like the smoke produced from burning of the paper, which the tobacco has been rolled in, and many more.
Vaping helps you consume the amount of nicotine your body has been used to, without any other added toxins. It gives you more control over the amount of nicotine you put in your body to eventually help your body get over the nicotine addiction (read more about why smoking cigarettes is addictive.)
Plus your mouth doesn’t taste and your breath doesn’t smell disgusting after. 😉
